- Arriving at Junction 2, take the A466 exit that leads to Chepstow / Cas-gwent / A48.
- Upon reaching the roundabout, take the third exit onto Wye Valley Link Road / A466.
- At the next roundabout, please take the first exit onto the A48.
- At the ensuing roundabout, select the second exit and maintain your course on the A48.
- Please continue straight in order to remain on the A48.
- At the subsequent roundabout, again, take the second exit and stay on the A48.
- Upon arriving at the Coldra Roundabout, take the fourth exit onto the M4 (W) / M4 ramp, which is directed towards Cardiff / Caerdydd.
- Proceed to take the ramp onto the M4.
- Make a slight left turn onto the A48 (M), following signs for Cardiff (E) / Cardiff (S) / Caerdydd (Dn) / Caerdydd (D).

- Take the A470 ramp that is signposted for the City Centre / Canol y Ddinas / M4.
- At the Gabalfa Interchange, take the second exit.
- Merge onto North Road / A470 via the ramp towards the City Centre / Canol y Ddinas / Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd / Civic Centre / Canolfan Dinesig, and continue to follow North Road.
- Continue onto the Kingsway / A4161.
